Quality Art Education for Young People…

Online Primary and High School (7-12) Education Kits

artsCape Biennial Inc. have commissioned visual arts teaching professionals to prepare education kits for both Primary and Secondary levels. These free downloadable documents include interesting and fun information and activities related to the exhibition and are designed to make organising an excursion to artsCape easy and enjoyable for teachers (a draft risk assessment has also been provided). Parents are welcome to access these documents for family visits during the school holidays.

School Excursions

artsCape Biennial 2010 will be open to NSW schools during the last week of Term 2 (28 June – 2 July). Why not make an excursion to artsCape part of your end of term celebrations? School groups are welcome to bring their lunches and have a picnic amongst the sculptures!

To make organising an excursion to artsCape easier for teachers we have produced a draft risk assessment which can be downloaded here.

To ensure there are not too many schools on the site at one time we ask teachers to discuss your planned excursion date with Laurell Judell, our Education Program Manager, beforehand.

Artist Talks & Guided Tours

A limited number of school tours are available to NSW Primary and Secondary schools between 28 June and 2 July. These are designed for approx. 25 students but larger groups can be accommodated if required.

Features of the artsCape School Tour include:

» A 1hr guided tour by a member of the artsCape team

» An exhibiting artist talk about their sculpture in the exhibition

» A free exhibition catalogue for every student (valued at $7 each)

Cost: $200 + GST ($8 per student)

For more information or to make a booking please email Laurell Judell.

A Fun School Holiday Activity for Families

Families are invited to visit the exhibition during the July school holidays. Bring a picnic or grab some takeaway from The Byron Beach Café kiosk and dine amongst the sculptures!
